I NeED HELP

I needed help when I discovered that my son was autistic.  To make matters worse there was no one there for me.  I struggled every day with my son. The help that I thought would be there for me truly wasn’t.  I thought in my world that there must be help for me, but when it came down to it, I was alone.  No one understood; not family or friends.

I did received some help from Human Services because of my son’s diagnosis.  However, even with their help I realized that I had no guide for dealing with my son's autism. I had no one to take me through the necessary steps to give my son all that he needed to overcome the affects of autism.  Through much hard work and perseverence I have brought my son much farther than what is called "normal" for autistic children.

I started "Uplift From Autism" to help guide many parents who have autistic children and don't know what to do, just as I once experienced.
