Hello, my name is Evelyn Hawkins. I would like to thank you for visiting my website. I created Uplift From Autism, Inc. because of my son Isaiah. He was diagnosed with autism at the age of five. At first I was in denial since I didn't want to believe it. I felt lost and confused and had no one to turn to for help. I also could not read or write and I was homeless at the time. I didn't have anything and I was very poor, which made it difficult to find help for Isaiah. I had to find a more creative way to reach out from within myself using what I had at my disposal at that time. At that time Isaiah was not able to express his feelings or communicate to me when he was hungry or tired. I felt completely helpless as I tried to reach out to him.

I started to use every resource that was available to me at the time. In an effort to help my son after years of searching and trying different methods, I realized that they were not working. I found them to be insufficient for my son's needs.

Now through many years of effort and hard work Isaiah has been pronounced 80% out of his autism. Uplift From Autism, Inc. CD and DVD collection will show your child how to be more independent. For example, it teaches safety habits and daily skills they will need. The collection will also show your child how to develop social skills with other children and how you as a parent can help with interacting with your child. The CD and DVD collection will also show you ways in which you can teach your child to use different areas of your home or apartment safely. Teaching you how to teach your child is the most important aspect of this system.
